IMO....TJ should have moved inside a little bit. With all the practice before the telecast and all the practice between matches, it looked like the track area went away from him and therefore so did his carry at the end of Match 1. I think the Magic Touch was the right ball choice but he didnt move when he changed. The ball was cleaner through the heads so when he threw it in a good spot, the ball was too much on the back to stay right of the head pin and when he tried to "let it loose" and give it some room, there was no recovery right. He started with the Mission, pin down, playing 15 at the arrows out to 9-10. When he switched to the Magic Action, he should have moved to around 18-19 at the arrows and his breakpoint in a similar spot (second range finder/10th board). TJ will be back, though. It was AWESOME to see him on tv again.
