Sunday's show
« on: February 25, 2005, 11:32:30 AM »
Well, we have Chris Barnes still on fire from last week, Tony Reyes looking to make a name for himself, Tommy Jones who BLEW UP the round of 8, averaging an amazing 281, and Patrick Girard the canuck taking it in the round of 8 in an exciting 7 games to make his second ever show.

Gonna be a good one for sure.  Though we say that every week.

I think TJ throws ebonite.  Barnes is using C300, and Reyes and the canuck are using the Big B.

i think he meant, specifically, what they used to make the show...i could be wrong, but i'm probably not

Yes, I meant specifically . Sometimes the TV conditions don't allow the bowler to use the same equipment that got them there (or they're simply "Walter Ray"), so I was curious as to what he tore up the lanes with today.
Thanks for your responses! ;-)

Jones will win again as Ebonite proves to be the difference.

Reyes has to prove that he can bowl on tv without stinking the place up. His performances thus far on tv have been nothing less than dismal.

Gotta go with the winner of Barnes/Jones. I'd pick TJ over Barnes, but since, like Randy Pedersen, I'm always wrong...

No rap on the other two, but it would have been nice to  see s Barnes/Jones final (yes, that's assuming they both would have won their first match).  I'm going with Barnes because of his performance last week and the momentum factor, but that set that Jones shot in the round of 8 was mind-blowing...Yes often times the shot is different on Sunday, but it's hard to ignore how well he scored......

So you like this guy????
Yeah, he treats me sweet -- I met him at a bowling alley.         (Matchstick Men)

I was there, but not directly behind the Jones/Wiseman match.  Jones threw an Ice for the four games, I believe.  He is so smooth that one could hardly hear his ball touch the lanes.  Feel bad for Wiseman, because he fought hard to win his previous match against Dave D.
