He probably has enough hand that he can afford such a weak drilling.  A guy I bowl with has one of Rudy's test balls drilled like the one on the left, but with the pin above the middle finger instead of below.

Because Brunswick is trying to give a "behind the scenes" look at the show, and you can't give an honest presentation if you exclude parts.  They know that most people aren't totally brand loyal.  If they put out all the information about the show, not just the Brunswick stuff, they are increasing the traffic to their site and therefore increasing the chance that a Brunswick ball will catch someone's eye.  It's all about "Branding".
