With 32 titles, I believe he's shown up for more than just majors...

The harder the shot the better norm will perform in the standings.

omg he's leading by a mile...he's averaging in the 230's at the Open, that's insane.

Can anyone tell me who might be there what happened to him after his first game which was a 168? Did he trying cranking it up inside then went soft and direct down the track like how he did it last year and won or a ball change? Not like him to shoot that low even if it is the first game but to 1365 for 6 games and then in the next round go 1461 is incredible. I'm seriously thinking he's going to defend his title which is equally as amazing but as I said last few years barring injuries he is bowling the best of his career in the late 00's bar none.

I am assuming or heard he has to win the tournament to get the POY points?

The lane patterns in the majors are more difficult than the regular PBA patterns.  Norm Duke has an advantage on the more difficult patterns because his game is straighter.  So it's no surprise to me that Duke is doing well at the open.

Norm is the ultimate master of knuckling his ball right up 5 and taking the lane out of play.  The pairs at the open are so different from one another, players can shoot 280 or 150 on it anytime.  No one is better at taking the lane out of play than Norm is.  The model of consistency and accuracy.
