Chris Barnes on Xtra Frames Last Week...
« on: January 15, 2009, 11:57:38 PM »
In case you didn't know at the National Bowling Stadium Championship last week in match play (Thursday), they showed Chris Barnes using the oldest ball in the history of the PBA.  It wasn't even a reactive resin ball.  He was using the 1990 (yes 1990!) Columbia 300 U2 LOL!

Even the announcers were laughing and Ritchie Allen was saying 'wow what a great ball for Chris as he left split after split on the Xtra Frame broadcast.  I just saw it last night because it was cold and I couldn't sleep.

Is Chris Barnes crazy?  Look up the ball on bowlingballreviews if you don't know about it.  Some plastic balls hit better than it.  And I thought him using Messengers on TV was bad LOL...

since the pba atarted in 1959 i'd say the oldest ball in the history of the pba would be a hard rubber ball. i remember a telecast in 1996 where mike durbin mentioned "that ernie schlegel had used a hard rubber ball from the 1950's and 60's during matchplay the night before". there are various times during pba competition whre older technology balls are used.

What do you mean by the oldest ball in the history of the PBA?

The PBA started in 1990, duh!

I think it is older than that.  I was watching the PBA when I was a kid.

Phantoms were the first 2-piece balls
clearing in 12/90 I think.

Maybe you're just an idiot Necro....

You're a typical wall baby, you think the ball carries, and that anything not currently in production is inferior to the latest and greatest.

Maybe you don't remember this because it was ancient history (2002), but Brett Wolfe won the Masters with a Blue Hammer.  There is a player on the Southern Region that has won many titles with a Blue Hammer as well.

Matchups hit...not balls....

Again...you're incredible ignorance shines through.

You obviously didn't watch Xtra frames.  The announcers as well as Ritchie Allen were laughing at him.  Also I don't use new equipment.  Some of my stuff is like from 2005.  Don't hate just because I made a comment about your american idol Chris Barnes.

Who said he was my American Idol.  I think he's kind of short and a jerk....but he doesn't deserve the constant bashing that douchebags like you dish out.

You're a complete hack...you even admit it in your signature...and you constantly stand in your glass house and throw rocks at other people.

So he's one of your favorites, but you constantly dog him on here.  I sure wouldn't want you as a fan if I were famous.

Hey O RLY,
i don't think necro is a waste of space. Actually its very entertaining to read his post after a long and hard day of work. I thing he is the funny part of Ballreviews. If you look carefully you will see how hard he is trying to get some attention. Its also fun to watch how he is building he's virtual alter ego. Very entertaining from my point of view.

Comparing Human to Dog? No, we should keep some distance to this. On the other side, my Dog never tried show something he isn't, understands and learn fast and have more talent in rolling bowlingballs than some hacks. A Dog is also an expert catching your sympathies by acting naturally AND misunderstanding the concept of lies. Obviously Humans and Dog are not comparable.
