Belmos bottle vs Angelo
« on: April 03, 2011, 02:44:02 AM »
It really looked to me (I saw the video about it on youtube so I was watching for it) that Belmo intentionally crinkled his bottle in the middle of Angelos approach.

If so thats a dick move.

If you look at belmonte and Angelo in the background a couple shots earlier you can see Angelo looking at belmonte and squeezing the bottle

Was it Angelo being ultra sensitive, or Belmo being desperate. No one here can answer that. Both are under pressure because they make a living bowling. Both are very talented in their own style, etc.
I would hope that a professional wouldn't be so desperate as to try that type of thing, but only one of them has been crowned "the future of bowling" and USBCs little darling...

Like I said, no one on this forum really knows the answer. Only the guy from down under.

This is so funny. I went on here to see or post about this. My stupid DVR didn't record it last week but guys in my league said someone said some crap to Belmonte about a water bottle. Without even thinking who it could not be it was so obvious who it could be. Brad Angelo is a jerk off. Has been for years. Remember that match with Barnes last year or before he tried talking crap? I don't know what this dude's issue is but he can go screw himself.

Someone was nice enough to post this on Youtube for those that haven't seen it or want to see it again:

All I can say is Brad Angelo your a jackass. You could have said something nicely at least. I know the pros need ultra concentration during bowling because it's so quiet which is the rules the PBA has placed upon the audience but seriously you just turned off a bunch of people with your dumbars attitude. Jason was trying to apologize but you just wanted to act like a jerk.

However, there have been noises suddenly or distraction what have you on telecasts and seem to have happened more then then last 10 years then any other time on tv. It's whether these things are intentional or not is the question. The topic was if Belmonte did it intentionally. I find it hard to believe. It could have been nerves, it could have been something he wasn't even realizing he was doing or it could have been concentration and was in the form such as tapping nails or something. But you have to prove to me he did that on purpose.

I have had the chance to meet Angelo while I was a youth bowler at Jr Gold in Buffalo. There were other pros there (Chris Barnes, Billy Oatman, Doug Kent) to name a few. Angelo was the only one that took the time to talk with EVERYBODY that went through the line. The others shook hands posed for pics but Angelo took time and had the line waiting because he was talking and genuinely cared about talking to every person.

I Liked him enough that I went and sat through a Brunswick seminar that he was giving and loved every minute of it.

If you watch the video... You hear something then Angelo backs off the appraoch, When he starts to bowl again Belmo reaches for the bottle and stars to grab it and about the time that the video breaks away to Angelo bowling you hear this death grip squeeze on the bottle.

That sounds intentional.
