Best show ever!
« on: December 15, 2006, 12:33:02 PM »
Wow this week is going to be good.  4 New Yorkers and Norm Duke.  Also the return of

TOMMY D!

I hope he takes it home this week.  I don't think I'll be happier for any bowler to win one.

I don't think this will be the best ever but that's just my opinion. It's a good final 5 but I am not crazy about the shark pattern.

Great bowler but remember when he was out on rehab admitted he wouldn't even watch the show and chose football instead. We all love football, but when you're one making your living from bowling, that's what you should watch first.

I definately don't agree with that.  He has the choice to watch what he wants to when he's rehabing from surgery.  Its possible that he doesn't want to watch it, cause it bothers him that he can't be out there.  He's under no obligation to watch the bowling, and if he enjoys football, then why not watch it.

I definately hope Tommy D wins it...he really deserves it.  I've bowled a couple of Pro-Ams with him and he is one of the nicest guys out there.  Very, very classy guy.

I would actually rather see Shafer win than Duke who I am getting a little tired of seeing. Shafer has been knocking on the door for awhile now and he may just win it all tomorrow.

As long as the lanes don't get completely mangled through practice and the first three matches, Shafer will have a great chance to win.  The way the pattern is playing on that surface feeds right into his wheel house.  Look for him to be throwing either an agent or paradigm, or if they get really mangled, a T-Road pearl.

i was there on friday and i must say it was amazing seeing fagan get the 5th spot.. he just kept shooting high score after high score.. everyone who made the show threw the ball amazing and made shots when they needed it. i saw norm duke go from standing on 9 and hitting 7-8 at the arrows and going straight up them to movied 25 boards left and playing inside fourth arrow.... i saw tommy jones do a two-step approach on the right lane and a normal on the left and shoot 250+.. it was just amazing.. it is deffinetly going to be a great show tomarrow. watch for people playing up because thats where the scores were until they broke down.

and im deff pulling for fagan all the way!!!

What is Tommy D. throwing these days? I know that he used to be a Roto guy. Is he simply a free agent these days? Also, is what is Ciccone throwing? The last time I saw him make a show, he was throwing Hammer. Anybody know?

"tired of seeing Duke"?

How is possible, even remotely possible to get tired of seeing a great AND versatile bowler bowl? He can throw the big hook inside and throw it down the boards or the play the "splinter".

Only if you're tried of bowling, can you be tired of watching Duke bowl.
(Unless you hate him personally for some reason ...)

I'd love to see Joe Ciccone win the big one. He's been knocking on that door for years now. Been watching him mow people down in Regionals for years. He's a classic stroker. Don't know him; don't especially love the man. Just know he's a GOOD bowler and he is VERY capable.

Tommy has to be a fan and crowd favorite, after all he's been through the past 2+ years. On some TV shows 2 - 5 years ago, it's almost as if someone has tried ot cheat him out of a win, with some horrific leaves on excellent shots.

I think it will be an excellent show. I hope they leave the oil pattern as it was all week long.

Why do so many people dislike Shafer?
I must have missed something...

I want to see Shafer win tomorrow. He has been getting close too many times and I think tomorrow is the day that he breaks the losing streak for the number one seeds.

go tommy!!
the guy deserves to win.  Hes got all the tools to be a contender for player of the year.  Hes so versatile, smooth.  Just simply excellent.
I also want to see Fagan win.  That guy is due to break out this year.

in the last 9 game block ryan shafer was using mainly an agent and a special agent duke was using a spitfire and fired up. ciccone was throwin a pain a razor blade, and a widow.  tommy delutz used a total inferno for the entire 9 games and fagan was throwing a fired up for the 9 games too.
