Post by: Airplay on February 19, 2005, 05:01:47 AM: I heard that Brian Kretzer was in a DUI accident using PDW's truck. Also charged with leaving the scene. Bad news for Brian. That's a serious offense. I hope he gets help for his drinking.
Reported on the PBA forums. I understand that's the reason he withdrew. PDW's truck was wrecked. Someone was hurt from the other vehicle. Can anyone from NJ confirm? No news reports that I can find. Just word from a lengthy PBA forum.

Post by: hotwire13 on February 19, 2005, 01:28:12 PM: i heard that from a guy i saw walking into carolier this morning. i didnt know how much of it was true, but seeing this post makes it seem like more thna just a rumor. my question is, how did he end up using PDW's truck? if its true, i think there will be an extra qualifying spot open each week for awhile

Post by: charlest on February 19, 2005, 01:39:40 PM: NJ is VERY hard on DUI and harder still on leaving-the-scene. If any of this is true, Mr. Kretzer is in a world of hurt. NJ municipal court judges might as well be addresses as "god" (small "g"), as their powers are virtually limitless.

Hammer, you don't get 7-12 for DWI, certainly not if it's a first offence. Usually, there wouldn't be jail time involved, but I hear NJ is extremely tough on drunk drivers, and with attempting to flee the scene thrown in... he could very well do some time.

I feel bad for PDW. To lose your father, then have your car involved in a crash, in the space of a week, that's pretty bad.

As the owner of the vehicle, he's probably open to a civil lawsuit. Just what he needs right now...
