quote:ESpn classic is showing Barnes's choke again.Might be better the second time
quote:I think that a choker is someone that doesnt perform under pressure in the same way as they would if there were no pressure.I know this from experiance. It is my belief that its a mental thing.Physical is only half of the game,Mental is the other half,if you trully want to be great at what you do--------------------'HARD' work is good for the soul

(Incidentally, Pete Weber tripped over his own feet on his first shot and went over the foul line--would you call that choking?)It looked to me as if Chris's mechanics were off on the 10 pin shot (stood straight up at delivery), and who doesn't do that every now and then?I don't know anyone that doesn't struggle at times, whether they're under bright lights or not.Even the great ones are fallible. If Chris Barnes was a choker, he would not have qualified 1st for the week (in addition to being the only bowler on yesterday's telecast that also qualified for the doubles tournament to be aired next week).Give the guy a break!--------------------Regards,BowlingWolf
quote: Umm, Haugen qualified 1st, and went 15-3 in match play. He went 4-1 against Barnes this week including the finals. Pretty solid all week.
