Lol tommy's won on all 5 patterns, norm on major championship conditions.  Those guys are the cream of the crop they can bowl on anything.  Other bowlers like Ritchie Allen best pattern is the shark, they  haven't reached that level yet.  At the topic, I think Belmo's best pattern will be the scoripion pattern.

I don't think he will have one that he will be best on.  I know the PBA hopes that Belmonte will be the new poster boy but he won't.  I say he makes only one show next year, if that.

Actually Tommy has won more on Viper than Cheetah and has said that Viper is his favorite pattern. I think that Belmonte will have the most success on Shark simply because he can get the ball back from spots that everyone else can't.

I think he will do well on just about all of them, Cheetah is a little sketchy but will be fine as long as Storm is okay with him using the plastic ball. (was a lot of controversy within the company about him using it on TV) Shark should be his best pattern as he can play parts of the lane comfortably that other people cannot.

I think he'll be just fine on all of them. As for the plastic-controversy on Cheetah, maybe that's one of the reasons Storm released the Natural. Urethane is better than plastic, right? lol. In any case, I think he'll have a very solid season. I'm not saying I expect to see him on TV every other week, but I certainly think he'll be around for deep runs through match play most weeks. When this guy is on, he can do things nobody else can. He should be at least a little more relaxed after having won that first title, so I think you'll see a lot of good things from him this year.

Agree, with Storms new urethane release the Natural, look to see Belmonte make some shows this season.

Agreed. He was tearing up the shark at Babylon this season and did end up winning that event from the TQR.

Something to keep in mind.  He has quickly become good friends with Michael Fagan, and Bill O'Neill.  This trio good do alot of damage this season as they are able to discuss things amongst themselves as well as bounce ideas off each other.  Those three should do really well this year.

Belmo might like the newer cheetah. its slicker and he has the ball speed. But I agree these guys can bowl on anything. plus, the qualifying rounds lane condition plays completely different than the telecast does (lights, oil breakdown, the nerves......)

This is very true indeed (and out of the 3 above, I believe O'Neil will continue to improve and have a break-out season).
