Must be something new for 09 since Randy did all the balls except for O'Neill's

Did anyone else notice that Bill O'Neil was using a Hammer on the Shark lane. Was it the Sauce?

Yeah, it's a far cry from the days they used to "black out" the names on balls for T.V.

I wonder if either company will place it on their website saying that the last PBA winner was using their equipment.

3 holes of fun!!
-
Yeah, I agree. Bowling really is shooting itself in the foot by not allowing the public to know what balls are being used.
It would be a win-win situation for both the ball comapanies and the sport itself, to let that info out there!

With his thumb and fingers .... <rim shot>!
He is not forced by anyone or anything to throw only one brand of ball.

did patrick real start with a razyr? i can't imagine using a pancake core (although yes i did hear the u-dot barnes comment).
--------------------
-
yes p.a. started with razor on cheetah and a t road solid on the shark, then he moved to the blue vibe on the cheetah and and the rapid fire on the shark. Bill oneil was throwing two different companies sort of too from what i could tell he was throwing the hot sauce on the shark and the from what it looks like the new ebonite magic on the cheetah. Both of them were throwing two different companies and both free agents.

I want my share of the bounty but I cant find enough oil for this monster, i dont want to polish it cause it rolls so good now damn I hate dilemmas.
-
Yes, O'Neill used the Magic on Shark and then a One Pearl for the fill ball.
-
if you go to buddies pro shop they say o'neil was throwing a tornado and barnes was still using the U2
-
I was hoping to get a video of todays too. I was there at least though

I would have to dispute that. Never could make out what Barnes used on Cheetah but an all black U2 with neon green logos would be hard not to spot. I did hear that he used one during the week but I don't think he did for the show. And I've seen a Magic in person and it looked just like what O'Neill was throwing.

Didn't the PBA used to do a segment called WHATS IN THE BAG?
--------------------
The bowler formerly known as BrunsRod.
Solid 7 Pin?? 299 Game??!! WTF
-
Buddies corrected their thread. Barnes' other ball was an Arch Rival and O'Neill had an Ebonite Magic.

For those who asked about "What's in the bag?" - they did this on the broadcast when Brunswick was a sponsor. It was only done for players that were using big B equipment. Back then, there were more guys on staff (e.g. WRW, Barnes), so you would get lots of "What's in the bag?" segments. Basically, it was a Brunswick commercial.
