This weeks show should be good...

McCune VS Voss
Machuga VS Barnes

For all you Chris barnes haters, HE FINALLY made it.. I was pulling for a Barnes vs.Lawrence match on TV, but Rick lost out to Machuga in the round of 8 while trying to get his 3rd bid for the TV finals this year..

I am pulling for Barnes but I think Voss will probably take it.. Its going to be a great show for sure!!

I'm not a BARNES hater .. it's just that I sit back waiting for him to mess himself up .. seems he always does. This week Chris has bowled great and really deserves a shot! I don't have much faith in him .. Voss has been bowling good .. but I favor MCCUNE .. he just has been a tiger this week!

As long as MuCune doesnt start screaming "MY WEEK!!" after every slop strike he will attempt to carry it should be good. Voss and Barnes in the final with Voss winning in a roll-off (why not).

Oh no, the great prognosticator, Joe Falco, has called the match for "My Week" McCune. Damn, could be a lonnnnnnnng show...

If McCune does well, here's a preview:

However, since I, like Randy Pedersen, am always wrong regarding the winner of any match, I'll counterbalance Joe by saying that McCune will beat Voss, Barnes will beat Machuga, and McCune over Barney in the final.

That should tell you who I'm really rooting for.

SEADRIVE .. you could see MCCUNE was done in the first frame .. must have been NERVES .. after bowling so good all week long .. he just fell on his face! Hope you get lucky next time they bowl!

I was really pulling for Machuga to win his first title, but it just wasn't to be.  He threw the ball great, but had trouble getting it to finish properly, especially on the left lane, which was Voss' "good" lane.

Machuga will win soon. Oops, I mean... Machuga will never win!

There, that should seal the deal.

I know that there are people out there (Jabroni in particular) who don't like it when people complain about the telecasts, and it's a valid point. It's much better to see a lousy broadcast of bowling than no broadcast at all.
My only complaint was minor and it's this: would it have been too much trouble to take a new "live" shot of Angel Stadium instead of using an old shot taken at some other time? They showed a "live" shot of Angel Stadium and it still had the "Edison International Field of Anaheim" name and Edison logo, which means that it was an old video since those logos were peeled off the stadium quite some time ago when it was renamed "Angel Stadium".
Apart from that, the telecast was OK. Although I read that the ratings are up, we're still seeing the same advertisers - Dexter, Odor Eaters, the tire company, the credit people (worst-looking commercial ever with the animated 'talking bill')...I'm hoping that the increased ratings helps bring in more sponsors, but it's in such a tough time slot in the fall/winter going up against Sunday morning football that we may not see it for a while.
