well if you are just practicing what is stopping you from trying out both lines...assuming you get two lanes play one lane one way and the other lane the opposite.

Throw it slower and play right up 12ish...

Adjust off of that. That's what I use.

It's also going to depend a lot on the surface you're bowling on.  If the track area is heavily worn and there's a ton of frction, you may have a look inside.  Otherwise, it may not turn the corner well from there.  Practice both areas and see what's out there.  I played the Duke-style outside line on it in my PBA Experience league last year, but I also have only about a 250rpm rev rate...

i went and it was on HPL btw and just started a few boards left of where i play a house shot and threw like a 16-8 to warm up and hit pocket. so after i was warm i took my arch rival and played that line. the shot was easier than expect im sure it was broken down some, because i had 3-4 boards of room on either side at the BP. i went 221 the first game with a 6 1 in the tenth. next i take my rival in a WRW like hand position and play a 5-7 line. the first few shots i had to adjust my speed and get acquainted with the gutter so i had 59 in the 4th. i then strike until the 12th ball and go nine for 208. the 3rd game i go back to my arch rival and try and play the deep line like barnesey with limited success. i just didnt have my control when hooking it like a normally do and kept leaking it. still shot 208 but mostly because i made good enough shots to leave easy spares to pick.

sorry for the long post, thanks for reading

You should try them both in practice to see which one gives you a better look and better carry.

Then when you bowl on it again, do the same thing.  Lanes will play different from day to day.
