Chameleon Show
« on: December 28, 2014, 02:41:49 PM »
I just watched it and was kind of surprised to see them skip a few frames in the first match. There are only 2 matches over an hour of TV time and usually any match takes 15 - 20 minutes, even at a slow pace. Plus there weren't many spares thrown today.

I enjoyed the bowling, especially since I didn't know the outcome ahead of time, but am kind of disappointed they didn't even show 2 full matches. I think it was the same with the previous WSOB shows the past few weeks.

I guess that old platitude still holds true: "If you can't dazzle them with brilliance, baffle them with b*llsh*t." Pity, as their fan base seems to be dwindling.

In case anyone has any doubts, I did enjoy the bowling I did see. I'll probably record it and view it at my leisure until the bitter end.

That's par for the pba lately. Other than all the wasted time the bowling was enjoyable to watch

From the opening segment,to the pro-am segment, this telecast part sucked the big one.The actuall bowling was pretty decent, although I had to watch it on youtube.Get rid of the non essential stuff, and you have no missing frames.
I do belive that the PBA telecasts are at where Nascar and WWE telecast have sunken to, 30 minutes of crap with 5 minutes of actuall product. I know my time exaggerations are off,but you get the picture.

This is why I record the show and watch it at my leisure, fastforwarding through almost everything but the bowling itself. This way I enjoy the bowling and nothing interferes with it. Just watched the Scorpion show and the bowling was excellent & enjoyable.

The fact that the PBA is putting the shows on YouTube themselves says something...

I never watch these live.  I record them so I can FF through the fluff.

Don't care about the pro vs. am segment.  Don't care about the silly interviews by the babe.  I am surprised they don't show some frames of the initial match when they can have time for all the superfluous crap.

This week's match between Larsen and Haugen was interesting as it came down to the last frame on a difficult shot and both guys threw it through the nose.  I can relate.
