Title: Chris Barnes Challenge?
Post by: strikecing on December 12, 2009, 04:48:48 AM
What do you think about this?

When they first came out with the idea i thought it was great.  But now with some guy I have never heard of doing it I think its stupid.  I was expecting Norm or Walter or Wes or some pro to take him on.  Not sure what you guys think

I feel bad for Chris, he'd get destroyed for turning down the challenge, if he wis it was expected and if by some reason he loses he will get hell for it.

I think its nice to see someone different bowling in the challenge. The pros bowl against each other every week and I think its cool to see them bowl against some good bowlers who may not be known yet. Barnes is gonna have his hands full, Derek Hartnell was a first team all american at Newman University last year and was leading the nation in average in college bowling this year last time I checked.

It is starting to get interesting, Barnes had a huge lead through two games but is not looking so great in the last game, not over yet.

Wow. Yet another choke by Barney. This will mess with his head even further...

Pretty sure it wasn't a choke...but that's the word used for anyone not throwing a strike in this forum.

What pattern were they bowling on?

I wouldn't call it a choke but Barnes sure let the match slip away. He didn't adjust well at all after Derek moved inside of him. Chris left a few splits the last game and just didn't make good enough moves and then Derek took advantage of the opportunity and struck a ton the last game to win it.

It was very exciting.

here's something my bowling buddies and i have been discussing about this challenge:

would walter ray williams, jr., or norm duke have lost this match ?  the consensus is no. their abilities plus their mental edge would not have allowed them to lose unless they were having a terrible day from a physical standpoint.
