As I just mentioned in another post, I remember watching him in the past go against WRW,Jr and he would play WRWs line and get beat by 20---probably because WRW was 20 pins better than Barnes on that line. Really wonder what goes through his head when he is trying to figure a shot out.
That said...
Shafers look inside got ugly and Im not sure Barnes look would have been better had he been further in. Im curious how the shot would have shaped up if Barnes had started even wider---try to actually collapse a shot to his own strengths. Just a thought.

He didn't look uncomfortable to me until he missed the 10, but hey he's there(a lot) we're not...and he makes more money than any of us so why question it?

Fact is, he got away with the tugs in game 1. Even his strike in maybe the 4th or 5th of the title match was a break---could or should have been a half pocket 4 pin. But went down. People dont seem to watch the finer points of his shot-making/pin carry. I love how people "speak into the microphone" over Chris Barnes---but if it were someone less "pretty" then he were, then there would be something wrong with them. His ball reaction was ok---Im not doubting that.
Im also not doubting that the spare was a choke---but the fact remains, his last 4 shots on the right lane (I believe) were 2 pin, 4 pin, 2 pin, 4 pin. Either thats bad ball reaction or bad shotmaking. Which one do you want to call it? (by the way if it wasnt the last 4 shots---it was 4 of the last 5).

Chris has no A, B, C or D game, he is better then just about everyone from anywhere. Troubles winning on television aside, I think he is the most talented player ever to throw a ball no one can beat you from so many angles.

He had area the first game. It went away, period. I'm not hammering or second guessing his decision. He was there, I wasn't, I know that. This has little to do with today and more to do with overall the last year or so.

You bowl a ton of games every week and Chris makes a lot of shows.. The pros will tell you that the TV show can be crap shoot when it comes to ball reaction..compared to what they bowled on all week..

Chill out. I said this topic has more to do with his overall game. I never said he didn't have a great reaction, I just added he had some hold area that went away. He is the most technically sound bowler I've ever seen, without a doubt.
