I was wondering
« on: March 21, 2006, 05:28:13 AM »
I was on PBA's website and looked at the list of offical sponsers. Im impressed with how many they had but something that kinda made me think that BRUNSWICK was the only bowling company besides DEXTER that is an offical sponser. My question is don't you think that all ball companies should become an offical sponser. I mean they would have alot more insight about the game and ways to make it profitable then Dennys, or Baer asprin. I don't know much and im not knocking any company just would like to see more sponsers who actually know more about the sport pitch in to make it better. Sorry just wanted to lay this thought down. Enjoy the rest of the season everyone!!

The Brunswick sponsorship isn't strictly for bowling balls. Its for capital equipment (the arena setup uses all Brunswick product), pins, and their new lane oiling machine as well.

I thought Storm was still on the sponsor list, but I guess they ended it last year.

Look I understand why brunswick is a sponser. All im saying is that a golf tournament for the PGA they have tons of sponsers like etonic, foot joy, callway, titleist, etc list goes on and on. I would just like to see Columbia, track, storm, roto, and others throw is a sponsership just to bring in alittle more to the sport is all. See if we can raise enough revenue for more TV time to show maybe some match play etc. If im wrong and bowlers wouldnt like this then I guess im alone in my idea.

I'm sure the huge registration fee the ball companies have to pay doesn't help. It's a guess but once they fork over the thousands of dollars for that, they probably don't want to put up any more money for sponsorship.
