Commercials
« on: December 18, 2005, 07:57:42 AM »
Jeez,  Can we get some new commercials from the sponsers?  If I have to hear the broken toilet on line two one more time Im gonna freak!

"No no not the handle jiggle its the oldest trick in the book"...
"Still running......  Running like a guy who runs a lot!"

I would have it set up where every three telecasts they have to have something diffrent for a commercial.  Cause then at least its not as bad.  But seeing the same ones over and over week after week is just bad.
Other then that though I do enjoy the telecasts.  Anyone else feel this way or am I alone on this?  I do enjoy the Sundays are for bowling slots though,  they are funny as hell.

You mean the mock weather forecast one?  All I know is they really didn't need to show us Tommy Jones in the shower.  Walter Ray eating some Ozi-o's was pretty funny though.

Im with mike on this. The commercials are getting really boring to watch. I almost hate to watch the telecast because of the commercials. Today I said screw it and recorded the show so I can zoom through the commercials.

At least the ESPN commercials are funny.  I love the doll house on fire!

Sundays are for bowling.

Anyone notice that they take the labels off the water bottles that the players drink during TV matches. I noticed they missed one last week and it was Aquafina, a Pepsi product, who sponsors the PBA, so why take the label off if it is sponsered products??

THS...196, Sport Shot...170, (insert McD's music)I'm lovin' it!

Not all places get Aquafina though. I know of one stop last year that they could not get Aquafina from Pepsi for some reason. Not for sure of why so they had Dasani or what ever Coke's water is.

We ought to just be happy we have a pro tour that has a tv contract.
Look at the position the women pros are in.  No commercials, no tv,
no tour, darn little competitive bowling.  These companies are footing the bill to allow us to see the pros and IMO we all should be darn glad they do regardless of how they present their products.

bill,
Not to flog a dead horse, but...
what women pros? There isn't even an organization any more. If you want to be a professional bowler, a woman only has one venue (nationally) - that's the PBA.
