I'm not sure why Mika would love pattern E.  The guys who like it the most seem to be the guys who want to bank the gutter.

Dave D'Entremont won his title last year on pattern E.  He tried to throw it in the gutter a couple of times, but the dry boards outside 5 wouldn't let it go in.  He had a couple of time zones worth of area on that pattern, on those lanes.

Do you guys actually watch the PBA Tour on Sundays? Randy Peterson has said numerous times that Mika loves Pattern E. Dry on the outside part of the lane right where he throws it.

Jabroni, I bowl with BK, and it very much appears to be a reverse block.  Anything thrown to the outside skids out and doesn't recover, but the middle is easier to play.  The "good" bowlers here typically play the middle, since the only person I've seen play to the outside is a super cranker with a fear factor.

And BK gets a lot of revs with his X factor, so it does seem to be a reverse.

Scores here are not high by any means, though.  I can only remember a 650 something as the highest series since we started our second have a month and a half ago.

Pattern E is the easiest of the five PBA patterns.  I don't think it favors Mika, he just had an amazing day on TV on that pattern.  It is an exciting pattern to watch because of the high scoring and the risk/reward of playing so close to the gutter.

Jabroni is right.  The reason for his amazing day was he was the only righty on the pair all show.  The other 4 finalist were all lefties, thus the lefties would have to deal with carrydown, while Mika had an untouched side.

Looking for aprediction, expect 2-3 lefties make the show.  Also another expectation, usual 1 of the 5 on the telecast will be someone who be making their first telecast, for the first one in a long time, maybe like a Ronnie Russell , someone along htose lines.

Tucson- watch Bryan Goebel- he's won three of his titles there if it's at the same house.
