Congrats to Scroggy

He definitely deserved to win over the rest on the show.  Kretzer threw it awful and got some well placed breaks.  Palaarma couldn't get it on line consistently...and Wes looked like he was somewhere else.

I can't believe Osku lost his look, because it didn't look like the other 3 were in the same world as him the first game.

Oh well, I hate the 4 at a time format.

Im not a pro or nothing even close and obvious west know what he is doing... but what i have noticed its that he is trying to overpower some bowling balls or having Bad match ups.

first tv show he used a nomad pearl on shark(i didn''t know what he was using during week)
second show(world championship he was using the invasion but during week he was throwing the ball a lot smoother in speed that in the show where he was trying to get the ball down and in).
Third show in doubles he started with a Dark Star(didn''t work and then made a smart move when he changed for a stronger ball that was the nomad pearl)
In this 4th show again i think that he was overpowering the Riot until the last 4 shot when he took his speed down he had a better read of the lane.
Also when the USBC masters tournament was in xtra frame free... i watch him using almost all the tournament invasions and in the last 3 matches to see if he could go to the winners bracket again against Belmonte... he started using a Virtual energy...( even the Pba Doctor or chairman or someone in xtra frame mentioned that he should go back to the invasion or something that could be able to handle better that oil pattern and that angle that he was trying to generate)

Im just trying to explain that maybe he is just having bad problems matching up his equipment in tv shows

I don't really think it's the equipment, because I think right now he's having problems with himself. Even before they started it didn't look like he was comfortable being there. Could be the anxiety of such high expectations.

I don't think it's equipment either.  He's just making poor shots...he was fighting his timing.  He might be reverting back to his flawed timing on tv due to nerves or whatever.  He doesn't look comfortable at all.  No ball will make up for the misses he is currently making.

then maybe its the change of shoes ???
he didnt have any problems in timing until he changed to dexter...
im not saying dexter are bad... i use them... but maybe he never matched up with that brand or maybe the different soles have him struggling

The so called bowling that Brian did today was by far the worse I have ever seen by a professional bowler. I think he hit the pocket twice in the whole game and before anyone says anything no I'm not a pro but I sure believe throwing the ball straight I could hit the pocket more than twice out of ten times

Like they said, that was far from Kretzer's A-Game. So to bowl that well in a way you aren't as comfortable with, keeping the ball in play and throwing a clean game is not something to be criticizing. Maybe he didn't make many quality shots but he did give himself the chance to win.

I know Wes is going thru some issues with shoes and timing but I also think its a match up problem. He dominated the tour last year using basically one ball, the Cell Pearl. This year he seems to be unhappy quite a bit with his ball reaction. You can tell today he was very unhappy with the Riot he was using. I know they like to use the latest and greatest on TV, but so far not so impressive.

I wonder why Wes doesn't go back to the Cell Pearl when he is struggling. Oh well, I hope he has a decent end of the year..

The shoe comment might be warranted, because matching up properly with the approaches is the most important thing to having confidence in your swing. I used to use Dexter, but now that I've used ABS Tour Ultra's I'll never slum it again.
