J.T. "Action" Jackson
« on: February 04, 2009, 08:24:04 AM »
A little while ago I checked the PBA site to see who is doing well, and in 19th position currently is a bowler by the name of J.T. "Action" Jackson, which, at first sight, made me have an immediate adverse reaction, since I thought to myself, "who the heck is this pompous ass?".

Well, I then did a Google search, and found this video of him, and am now so impressed with his devotion and determination that I'm pulling for him to do well, if perhaps not in this tourney, then in the near future.

I see "Action" finished well down in the standings after 15 games of qualifying, with an average of around 182.  I watched the video, which was good.  His enthusiasm for the game is great.  He does need to work on his approach though, his balance at the line is pretty poor, etc.  But hell, Dick Weber had the most butt ugly delivery imaginable for a gifted bowler, so who can say.   I hope he is able to get to his goal...

with a little work on his timing (which causes him to fall off the shot and loft the ball a little)

Go watch the video again. He is falling off of the shot because he is wearing basketball shoes not bowling shoes.

Well, then, this could be used as a defense for why he failed to perform better at the Dick Weber Open, as he had to use actual bowling shoes that are approved the the PBA, and wasn't used to not planting.  Maybe he would've done slightly better otherwise.

Certainly, if he uses sneakers regularly, that is a big no-no.  The reason people like to use sneakers is because they like to plant at the line instead of sliding naturally (if ony just a little).  He will have to start practicing with his bowling shoes from now on, to get the feel down.

You had an adverse reaction, sight unseen, because of his NAME? Who was REALLY being the pompous ass?

Imagine that, I took offense to that question.

You f*cken clown.

Before this thread we had never communicated.

Then yesterday you introduce yourself to me by attacking me and what I wrote by making wise-as* remarks.

I have tried telling you where I'm coming from but you have not been satisfied by that, and have instead continued to be antagagonistic and insulting, and expect me to react positively to the negative stuff you have to say about me (even after I politely tried to explain things to you) without defending myself.

You are one that obviously likes to look for a fight.

YOu're nothing by a whining b*tch!

Eat sh*t and die as*hole.

Get real...you didn't try to do ANYTHING politely...and what I stated was indeed a question...if you decided to be a whining puzzy about it, because you knew you had been pointed out as an azzhat, that's your problem...

You're just a lousy fu*ken scumbag.

Go back to your fu*ken crackpipe, jackoff.

bowler300720,

Hope you note who started the acrimony.

What would you do if someone attacked you, would you not react?

But you are right, this post certainly has degenerated, so I'll put a stop to it right here.
