Denver Open Lanes

What were these guys bowling on?  It appeared to be two different types of synthetic lanes, the heads looked darker than the backend did.  Anyone have the 411?

Brunswick's Anvil Lane(not Pro version, the original one), it was posted along with other tournament info on the PBA website.

I recall reading that, but one half of the lane looked dissimilar to the other...

I bowled at this particular bowling alley on the 03-04 season, and not only was the shot frusterating (Reverse Block), but the lanes, after renovation, were not so great to bowl on either. Though I think the TV may have amplified the difference, becuase when bowling there, it is not very noticable...
