Discussion of PBA Trials

We'll track progress here.
--------------------

The PBA tour trials in Merilleville to determine the final 8 exempt spots for the 2004-2005 season are just around the corner. Anyone beside me excited about watching the leader board change over the course of 5 days and 45 games? Is there anyone who will be trying their luck? (If so, good luck!)

Maybe we should have a friendly competition to see which one of us predicts the most bowlers who end up winning exemptions. Pick 8 bowlers before the start of competition ... whoever gets the most of their 8 picks right becomes the "BR Crystal Ball Master"

Janderson, I've been told, by folks that bowl with him, that Mike has a truly great physical game, so I'm not too surprised at this.  The trick will be, can he sustain this, over four more patterns?  I hope so.  I've admired Mike "eddie" Edwards for a long time.

Well, 45 games is a long week and there is a long way to go. Plant-n-heave, thanks for the information on Mike.  I wasn't familiar with his game.

With 45 games, anyone think we will see a 10,000 score?

Some that I want to make it are Randy Pedersen, Lee Vanderhoef, Del Ballard, Mike Wolfe, Brain Kretzer, Ricky Ward and Jeff Carter. I would also like to see one female I dont really care who. I cant believe someone would not want Eugene McCune to make it but at the same time want Chris Collins to make it. Chris Collins has got to have to worst attitude in the world, not to mention this guy whines so much that people dont even want to cross with him (I crossed with him twice in one day). If the exempt tour featured those who kick ball returns the hardest and curse the loudest then Mr. Collins certainly gets my vote. He makes Eugene, while Eugene isnt the nicest guy in the world, look like Mother Teresa.

Wow, I'm amazed someone said Kendra Gaines would do well.

I would never expect Woman to do their best on pattern B.
I see she's 3rd after 7.

I also saw that someone said Elliot Ten was great. I'm surprised I don't know who he is as I was originally from Florida during my Bowling life.

The scores were high and my countryman Tomas Leandersson kept up well ending the day in thirteenth place. Well done, Tomas!

One of my picks did end up in the top eight: Mike Edwards.

AH Ha!

Personnally I cannot imagine a woman besides Michelle Feldman tearing up on B!

Is it today? We will see when B comes. However, still count me as impressed!

Pattern A yes, I can see that.  Backend delivered by the lanes!  Accuracy is the key!

I think Kelly will do better than Kendra on B.  Watch for Kelly to rise and Kendra to fall in the standings.

JAnderson. Thanks for the update.

I like this, it is like fantacy bowling maybe we should do something like this for the fall tour.

I was totally sleeping on Mike Edwards though, I think he has as good of a game as anyone out there.

Today's scores through 4 games on Pattern B

 26, Kelly Kulick, Union, N.J., 906

So far, I'd say the answer is a definitive YES!

17, (TIE) Tomas Leandersson, Sweden, 922

13th place on A, 17th so far on B.

Anyone know how to say "carry" in Swedish?
