Tom Baker on the PBA Senior Tour!!! Almost not fair, haha. Whats everyone think about it? Should he be allowed?

Why not?  he's 50+  Thing is, within the next 5 years Walter Ray, Norm Duke, Brian Voss, and Amleto(maybe. I'm not sure if he's 41 or 44) will all be eligible for the senior tour which is just downright NASTY.  Should they not be allowed even though they meet the age requirement?  Of course not.

Amleto in 2011.  Voss in '08.  WRW in '09.  Really doesn't seem fair.  Amleto is one of the most physically fit guys on tour, and as well as he treats his body, he'll be blowing those seniors out of the water.  Are there even any geezers on the tour that can do what he can?

maybe the senior pba might get a deal to be on tv and better prize fund...with ppl like amleto, walter, voss on tv all the time, the ratings would go up.

Wow.  With all those guys on the senior tour I would probably stop watching the other tour.

That is, of course, only if The Bohn is also on the senior tour.

What about wayne webb is he not only a few years away from the senior tour? Looking at how he played in the tour trials I would say he will be a handful when he comes out!

Why would Voss not play on the Senior Tour.  I understand that he'd fight to stay exempt as long as he was still competitive, but that's not stopping Baker from competing on the senior tour.

Also, how do you know?

I don't think you will see Duke or WRW play on the senior tour.  I think they will just keep playing on the normal Tour.

I think Walter Ray, Duke, Voss and any other player will bowl Senior events as long as the winner's check is worth it.  Walter Ray said as much after his World Championship win this year.

With all due respect to Bakes, he's no BV.    I like Baker, he shows that you don't have to play the power game to be successful, but in terms of talent, I gotta go with Voss every time.  Voss finished, what, 20th with a title and Baker held onto his job because of his WC win two years ago.  Put Voss on the Senior tour and he's going to dominate the way Baker is today, even with Baker in the field.

Again, hard to believe those guys are old enough to be seniors.  He'll be eligible in '12, Duke in '14.  Still a ways away.  Ten years from now, there won't be enough senior tour stops to make room for all of them.  Makes me wonder if the senior tour isn't going to start picking up and get back on TV like it should be.

I have a feeling that these pros, if competitive in a few years, will continue on the regular tour.  The money as far as I know is quite a bit less on the senior tour so if competitive it only makes sense that these guys stay on tour.  With the equipment advances its easier than ever to compete without throwing as much ball.
