Tom Baker on the PBA Senior Tour!!! Almost not fair, haha. Whats everyone think about it? Should he be allowed?

I think they will need to revamp the Senior tour and put a LOT more money into it if you want to see those big name players out there. Most of them wouldn't drive half way across the country for a chance to break even for the week if they finish 3rd or 4th, and the only way to finish ahead for the week is to win or come in second.

That's why Baker is out there because he knows he will finish in the top 4 every week.

I have a feeling that these pros, if competitive in a few years, will continue on the regular tour.  The money as far as I know is quite a bit less on the senior tour so if competitive it only makes sense that these guys stay on tour.

Notice that Baker is competing on both the Senior and National tours.  By and large, the senior schedule is during the national tour's off season.  Any of those guys could compete on both tours without giving up either.

The downside to doing that is that they'd be on the road nearly all year round.  I don't know what kind of home and family life Baker has, but for a single guy with little to hold him down (especially thinking of Wayne Webb, who's divorced, again, I think) it lets you do what you love nearly year round.

If it was still profitable Dave Davis would be right there killing it at age 60.

He was having a wonderful season when it folded and was I think about 57 or 58!

PS I'm still all excited about a local hero of ours who I got to bowl with against a ton, Dennis P led the US senior open the whole way until the finals last year when Baker nipped him in the finals!  I actually have had Dennis hand me a couple of dollars over the years(Of course I'm neglecting the fact that he has  a LOT more of mine in his pocket that the other way).

He just won the Senior U.S. Open, and is currently leading the A squad of this weeks tournament, the Senior Epicenter Classic. Unreal...
