And your point is???

Norm Duke is one of the most talented bowlers ever, don't make it sound as if he's a no-talent bum.

Jeez, I just looked at the results.  High scoring tournament!  127 of 144 bowlers (88% of the field) averaged over 200.

How is that much different than any run of the mill PBA event?

Maybe it was an allusion to the fact that Norm usually excels on tougher patterns. If the shot was that easy, it may have been nothing more than a "carry contest".

Exactly.  I don't know why (motivation, his ball roll, whatever), but Duke usually fairs better when the shot is tougher and scores are lower.

I thought you were telling me that I was in Japan?
I was really worried, until I looked around my office...
I'm still in Chicago.

since norm does better on tougher shots wouldnt that translate into being even better on easier stuff? so he should be still in the top 25

You sure?  Did you step outside?  Maybe your entire office was moved without your knowledge?

Hey Bowling Wolf. My point is: That Norm Duke bowled bad this week in Japan. I'm really glad that you pointed out what a great player he is. I had no idea about that.

"Nice showing for Norm in Japan"--sure doesn't sound like a riveting endorsement of the guy--and if what I said was obvious, it is nothing compared to what you inferred.

Duke play much deeper than his A game in Japan. The breakpoint should around 10-12 board (for this oil pattern). I think that's the reason he did not play well.
