Why dont/cant they say what balls the bowlers are using when on TV?

Also has to do with the fact that 97% of people that watch don't care.  Most people that watch bowling are casual league bowlers.  They don't own tournament arsenals, and wouldn't understand the first thing about layouts.

Think of other sports too....do they say what kind of clubs Tiger is hitting?  We know what club...but not what type?

Most fans in both sports don't care.....

Mentioning the balls they're using on TV rhymes with "free advertising", something that is anathema to the PBA.

should be thankful enough...there is no bowling at espn in Malaysia...or can anyone get me a link,so i can watch it online ?best if its live and updated...
