Lane Maintenance?? Or did you make a mistake??

If it were league bowler it would be blamed on the bowler not the approach.

On the other hand i am sure the pair they are on plays and feels different than a normal lane in a normal center

I think it was a mistake and he wanted to blame anyone except himself.  Yes, the tv pair can feel and play different, and they need to be ready for that.

Who cares, the guy stuck and missed a spare and was mad.  Do we need to analyze his comments with a 10 page thread?

I've never heard a bowler not blame something.  I'm sure we all have.

At least he didn't scream foul language, and run to the front counter and demand something be done about the approach.

He sure threw it well except for 1 shot!  Also, had a lot of area or created it, till the 2 8 10.

Probably shouldn't have made the comment, but he clearly hit a sticky spot. Not bowler error, unless you blame him for not shooting any 10 pins in practice where he might have noticed it.

Those things are part of bowling.  It sucks for him that it happened...but it didn't cost him the match...the 2-8-10 did.

It's a shame but he should have checked.
Of course since no one else stuck when shooting 10 pins, we're not sure if it was the maintenance crew not making sure the foul line area was clean or his shoes were the problem.

My main house is extremely inconsistent and I know their cleaning s*cks. So when I check the foul line area before league, I slide at least in the middle and in the 35 - 40 board/1o pin area & sometimes around the 15 board. The 10 pin area is almost always slicker or stickier in my house.

Im sure there wasnt issues during practice. I recorded the show and watched about 5mins of it before deleting it. It was boring and just couldnt get into it. Didnt really pay attention to his comments. No different then any other sport and the athlete says whatever after something bad happens.

Strange. I thought the show was one of the best in years overall. The bowling was unbeatable.

I felt the same way.  It was very dry.  And I didn't know even who won leading up to it as I have not paid much of any attention to the tour this year.  The crowd was pathetic, the energy pathetic and nobody showed any intensity during most of the broadcast.

I thought not knowing the winner would add to the drama, but I just did not care enough to watch it.  Recorded it and watched the NFL instead. Then watched the 2 hour broadcast in probably 30 minutes.

Im sure the bowling was good. I just got board with it. Not crazy about every event in an arena setting. Only one pair of lanes. People all around that look like a bunch of stiffs. Little energy as mentioned. Also I don't like only seeing 3 bowlers and 2 matches of the mens then the same for the womens.

It is like watching the NBA trying to force the WNBA down our throats. I enjoy watching the women bowl, expect outside in a desert, but this is the PBA and I'd rather see a 5 man step ladder or something that showcases the top bowlers of the week.

Instead I get two matches, very little excitement and very little reason to care. Take the show on the road, maybe go to some bowling alleys and see about growing this now back room event to something a little more. It just looks sleezy.

This is what bowling in an arena should look like

This is what the PBA use to look like(with fans in a bowling center, maybe in your home town or near by)

I really got in to it. I thought it went well. I enjoy watching my favs even if they lose. Didn't even notice the crowd, I was paying attention to the bowling and ball reactions. Hope to see Fagan a lot more!
