Have to disagree with the PBIII idea.  The idea is the pros bowling on the THS, so there for him averaging the highest on tour in 99 would have no point.  But he is a great player and should name the Etonic Marathon after him.

Agreed, like I said I was pointing out that naming a PBA event after the ABC record holder wouldn't make sense, it would make more sense to have the PBA average record holder but it still doesn't work.  Like I said, Glenn Allison is where it's at IMO.

If the towel is over all of the cameras, how will ESPN film it? And to keep with the theme of the namesake, could only bowlers' friends and family members be present??

I don't like this idea.

Name it after PDW.  He's done soon anyway, so may as well start honoring his career while he's still eligible to bowl in the tournament.

It was a tongue-in-cheek joke. Don't be so literal.

They could definitely name it after Jeff Carter, although they won't since he's still a touring pro.  I'm less concerned with the name than the place.  I bowled at King Pin Lanes in Springfield, IL last weekend where Jeff averaged a ton, and the pin carry in that place is absolutely ridiculous. Plus there is no such thing as an unmakeable spare.  A 7-10 you just have to hit one pin and the kick backs make the pins absolutely fly.  I'd gaurantee huge scores there.
