A little birdie told me he'll be throwing Ebonite for most if not all the year, as a free Agent.  No compensation, other than TV incentives as a favor to Eddie Gallagher (Ebonite VP)....

First off, why is it always the little birdies know everything?

And if he is indeed throwing Ebonite, then basically he got more equipment opportunities, as compared to Hammer, but still staying under the Ebonite umbrella.

Bowlerkid that's not true at all.  Tommy Jones is on Ebonite staff, and looks to be remaining there.  Pete Weber has been with Storm for awhile, and doesn;t seem to be changing.  You also have to remember a lot of independant bowlers choose to throw brunswick, because they are the most generous in giving balls to the pros.  Yes brunswick does choose to sponsor a lot of people, but they not not all pros, and most pros do not use there stuff.

Most of the pros just use whats hot now, and whats the cheapest.  Many guys have been using brunswick this year because I guess it matches up better with the brunswick oil.  This year the Ebonite, Track, Columbia, and AMF stuff were also hot.  Storm had an off year as well as Dynothane and Roto Grip.  But when you look to the 03-04 season, it was all storm and Dynothane. It just depends.

What really matters is which bowlers are hot.  We saw so much Dynothane because Steve Jaros kept making TV.  We also saw Dynothane because of Eugene.  Hoskins too.  The thing is that if the company only has 3 players and they are having an off season then the company (dynothane in this instance) won't get the same kind of promotion.
I say that this was a big year for the big B.  If i recall, I remember seeing Duke (once with an AI), Monacelli, Mika, Devaney, Angelo, Girard and a few others I can't think of off the top of my head making a number of telecasts. They all had good seasons and it makes big B look good too.

HE PROBABLY WONT BE THROWING BRUNSWICK TOO MUCH IF HE HAD SUCH A BAD REACTION WITH THE UI THAT HE GAVE IT AWAY. BUT HE DID LOOK PRETTY GOOD THROWIN THAT XXXCEL.

If Jack Jurek makes a TV show this year, you will more than likely see MoRich balls.  Devaney also throws MoRich.

I was told at a trade show a couple of weeks ago that the reason you did'nt see much Storm Roto or Dynothane was their coverstock did not match up well with the new Brunswick oil. That's why when the new coverstocks came out you started to see Jaros etc.
