I was watching bowling on ESPN Classic the other day and on the crawler at the bottom of the screen it said, "You are now watching the 2001 something something Open featuring Walter Ray Williams 33rd PBA win".
Why do they do that? If I'm watching Boston College vs. Miami and Doug Flutie is at quarterback I know what happens at the end of the game but I don't have every bowling tournament in history memorized. I used the link below to complain to ESPN.

I don't. But at least you didn't spoil it.

It is kinda obnoxious. They also post it on their website each week with the "This Week in the PBA" articles. I tape them every day and save the ones that haven't been shown before, and I like to know if there's a notable show on (someone's 300 game, or a dramatic 17-ball rolloff), but posting the winners for every tournament is kinda cheesy.
