Feel Bad for Jack
« on: February 13, 2011, 05:42:46 AM »
Man I feel bad for Jack Jurek, three splits in four shots to finish after he had Hess on the Ropes ouch I feel just terrible for the guy.

Gotta give Hess props though he kept is head up and kept on fighting the whole way through.

Also Jack Juerk is true champ at the end helping get Tom's head back on straight so he could finish it out.

Well said Mainzer. I agree with you 100% on each of your points. I've always liked and respected Jack the RipR Jurek but his interaction with Tom Hess today raised sportsmanship to another level.

When he left the 2-10 as soon as he let it go I said he turned it way too early. But then he left the 2-8-10 so I don't know. Maybe on that shot it just was wide by 5 boards. It sure seemed like the ball through the heads really the last few frames did not have the rotation and revs like the earlier balls he threw but the reaction he had in the beginning was pretty good. There are nerves on both players but find it hard to believe all the sudden after all the balls thrown the lane conditions changed that much.

I'm still in shock Mika didn't win the second match. Thought it was a lock after the first match he was easily going to win it all. I'm willing to bet most thought that...and btw wth is the odds of leaving that 6 pin split twice in two games. It's got to be in the millions. Usually when you hit the 5 pin the least your going to leave is 5 pins no matter what happens.

Jack's shot with that ball definitely went away at the wrong time - worst possible time to change balls.
