Ball Choice?

Why the heck is Jones throwing that Magic Action? He hasn't thrown a single good shot with it (that we've seen on TV anyway) but with the Mission he never missed the pocket...

I think its dumb how Tommy threw Ebonite on the show.  The only balls he threw throughout the week were Track.  715C, 715A, 505C, 505A.  I know the the TV pairs don't play the same as the rest of the house during the week, but you can't argue with using what got you there.

dukeblue.....the c-300, track, ebonite and hammer guys can throw any of the 4 brands during the week but if they make the show they MUST use the brand they are signed with....Barnes MUST use C-300, TJ ebonite, Billy O Hammer etc....

Was not aware, Thanks for the info.

Seems kind of a pointless rule.  Why not let them use what looks best, rather than trying to make the "wrong" ball "right".  All the marketing would be going to Ebonite one way or another.  Maybe they have some type of logical reasoning behind it.

I agree but I got the info first hand from the Ebonite gurus after Barnes used the Mission all week to get to the ToC finals but "had" to throw C-300 on the show since he is a C-300 staffer.

The same happened the following week when PDW used a Rogue Cell for most of the week and then showed up Sunday with a trio of Invasions drilled for the show.

It does seem pointless but who are we to judge????

Or how about all the free agents using C-systems throughout the week to make it to a show and then throw another company on the show.  Paychecks speak wonders and I'm not talking about the check you get for winning.

On one side, they're all on an even keel....

Alittle Exaggeration: None of the guys qualify with the same company, they throw on the show let alone the same ball!

Makes ya wonder what the incentive money is...I bet it's a nice package deal

actually matt that's not 100% true. kelly kulick used the exact same Mission all week for the ToC except for one block where she was in a bay that was totally blown out where she used a 715A and a 715C I am told.

I also know that norm duke regularly uses the same balls week in and week out.

So I would say it is a little exaggeration  to say "None of the guys qualify with the same company, they throw on the show let alone the same ball!"

Same post as before, bolded for emphasis.
