It almost doesn''t seem fair!! LOL
« on: May 09, 2010, 07:28:42 AM »
I just saw where WRW Jr won the South regional in GA today. That guy is on some roll and to be able to do all this at 50 years old, is amazing..

He wins player of the year and most money won on the regular tour this year, wins his first PBA senior event last weekend and then a regional trophy today..

I have never been a big WRW fan, but I have to give him his just due. The guy is just good, really good..

Most likely he's the best player any of us on this website will see in our lifetimes. He's been a dominant player since the late 1980's.

You mean to tell me the 12 year old didnt beat him....LOL.  Kudos to both for their performances.  So how many total titles does that make counting national and regional?

Not sure on exact total but I know Pete had the most overall titles -- he's bowled more regionals in his career than Walter Ray.

Walter Ray doesn''t bowl as many regional tournaments as many PBA players do. After all, he''s a world-class horseshoe player and has competed in that arena longer. He''s probably the only PBA member who''s a world-class competitor in more than one sport.

Well as for all the other bowlers not being world class in something else how many NBA Pros are world class baseball players ( Sorry MJ ) i have never seen Tiger Woods win a PBA Title and besides how hard is it to be a world class horse shoe player how many people actually try to be or even know you can be a pro horse shoe tosser. Pete Sticks with what he is good at even tho he is a scratch golfer along with a lot of other PBA stars.

Didn't WRW do very badly at a recent horseshoe competition?

Scratch Golfer?

That is a stretch!

Most county champs and state champs are barely scratch golfers!

Some low 70s scores some days...I believe.  Scratch...Hmmmm?

REgards,

Luckylefty
PS many college scholarship players are barely SCRATCH golfers!  Tony Romo...scratch and maybe +1 or +2
