Are they upset because he has floor seats at the Lakers and sits fifty yard line for the Raiders?

I have no problem with Rob Stone.  He is a little weird but he is better than Randy "I'm Super LAME" Peterson and whatever other bowlers they got presenting the show.  What they need is Stuart Scott and Bob Costas.  What they have now is garbage with the exception of Rob Stone.

If they hired Stuart Scott to do bowling telecasts, I'd permanently engage the mute button.

How can you hate Stuart Scott?  He is one of the originals that made ESPN what it is today - all with one eye.  If you hatin' on Scott, then I'd be interested to know what announcer, for any sport, you think is good.

What announcer is good?  IMHO, Al Michaels, Joe Buck, Bob Costas, and Sean McDunnaugh(sp?) ar among the best in the business.  Stuart Scott ranks right up there with Jim Rome.  Few men have done more with less.

FWIW, Stuart Scott was around in excess of a decade after ESPN got it's start.  He's made it what it is today, alright.  Mediocre.  He and Stephen A. Smith are what makes ESPN a chore to listen to during sports highlights.

I can totally hear him doing that.  You gotta imagine a very stop/start delivery on the "COST.  HIM.  THE.  GAME!!" part for it to really work.

It is ironic how the two top sports analyst for the past 10+ years are both African American.  I guess you could add Wilbon to go 3 for 3.  My top announcers that could do bowling or any sport because they are that d@mn good:

1. Al Michaels
2. Bob Costas
3. John Madden
4. Stuart Scott
5. Mike Greenburg

Stephen A. Smith:
