I thought that any press for bowling is good press.  This has been a really good stretch for the PBA, first Rob Stone, then Jason Belmonte and now the "Malott vs. Wilbon" match.  The PBA is doing a good job of trying to regenerate interest in the sport.  I believe they're on the way to turning things around.  

This publicity and the PBA Experience leagues are the best ideas that the USBC/PBA have come up with in many years.  Some people are upset with decreasing the awards given out for recreational bowling, but I agree with it 100%.  It's necessary to bring some measure of integrity back to the sport that was taken away somewhat with invention of reactive resin bowling balls and lane machines.  And slowly, but surely, I believe it's starting to work.
