Title: Go!!! Kelly Kulick, Union, N.J., 1,211
Post by: Borincano on February 15, 2005, 04:36:05 PM
Here she is Kelly Kulick.

Guys do not be blind. Give her credit. She is good and prettier then all the male bowlers put together. I hope she makes it to the finals. Go Kelly!!!

Ms. Kulick is a first rate bowler with game.  But 18 games, on that condition -- her best attribute may be physical strength.  She may make the first cut (I hope she does) but further will be tough.  The flat condition places a huge premium on the combination of physical strength and control.

Is she still throwing Ebonite. Amazing for her to be at 33 at this point throwing that crap.

She's not really at 33, that's just the first squad through 11.  Triple that and figure she's around 100 right now.  She's averaging a little under par for the trip, and if she keeps it up will probably be close to the first cut (1/4 of the field) whether above or below...

She was part of Beat the Champs here in Chicago not too long ago.  She was throwing Columbia when they broadcast her and PDW bowling their three games.

For her to be 33 on her squad ahead of PB3, Randy Pederson, and Rick Lawrence(cut him some slack he won a title and beat WRW jr.) is amazing especially throwing Ebonite.

I will 2nd that on the free agent thing. Since the PWBA folded she can throw different companies. When I talked to her last summer she was throwing ebonite, a few hammers and Morich equipment. Remember she is dating Jim Tomek (Morich).
If you have the chance to see Kelly bowl in person you will see why she can compete with the men every now and then.

Congratulations to Ms. Kulick.  She isn't making the top 24.  Too few games too many pins to make up, to many people to leap over.  Realistically, only the folks within about 100 pins of 24 right now have much of a chance.

Another young lady of note - check out Diandra Asbaty's performance today (Friday).  Last night she qualified in the top 1/4 of the field by just 1 pin.  Today she's moved up 48 spots in the standings - 108th to 60th and still bowling.

Talk about kicking butt and taking names as she passes, Diandra's on a tear.

she threw the ball awesome early, and although she struggled late from what i could see, the first 4 or 5 games were simply amazing.  she completely dominated barnes, who was on her pair, and was the only one coming even close to matching WRW shot for shot(he was on the pair over).  qualifying 108th, she jumped half the field by the end of the 4th or 5th game.  she really threw an excellent ball and made some of the guys look totally lost out there.

I take my hat off for Kelly Kulick and Diandra Asbaty's great performances.
They really are a force in bowling that you have to respect and admire. Wish they could bowl more in the PBA tournaments. Big applause for both of them.

Kelly is awesome. I love bowling around her in this area. She spends alot of time here since she and Jim Tomek Jr. are an item (and Jimmy just so happens to live in this area). I love her game. So smooth. It doesnt surprise me at all that she did well at the US Open---the tougher the shot, the better she is. She is excellent.
