Post by: BrooklynSlop on January 12, 2007, 05:44:58 AM: Jeff Carter defeated the #2 seed, Bill O'neill, in the round of 32 by a score of 4 games to 2. Jeff now faces Chris Barnes in the round of 16. Good luck Jeff!!!!!!!

Edit: Jeff defeated Chris Barnes 4 games to 1, finishing it out in game 5 with a perfect 300 game!!!!!!!

During the round of 16, the crowd was soundly behind Barnes. Hubby and I were rooting loudly for Jeff, clapping politely for Barnes. After the third game, people around us started to notice who we were rooting for. During game 4, more folks were behind Jeff. During game 5, it was amazing - Barnes got very little applause, etc, and Jeff GOT IT ALL - LITERALLY... It was so awesome!

Now I know why those pins fell like they did - it was all the BR members!

The round of 8 was pretty cool. During the round of 16, his hits were solid, and carry percentage was really high. during the round of 8, his carry wasn't as good as it should have been. And, unfortunately, when he made mistakes, they cost really, really big...

But GREAT bowling, Jeff - I'm sure we'll be talking soon.
