I don't know how many of you know him, but he bowled in the south region and he's a great guy. I talk to him whenever I can, great to see him on the show. Go John!!!

He's a Hammer staffer, so I know I'll be looking forward to seeing him roll. I wonder which ball will rock the show this week? No Mercy, Hawgzilla, Black Widow? Hmmm, should be fun to see.

Gene, on Friday in the round of 16 against Malott he used mainly the hawg-zilla, then during the round of 8, he looked to be using a no mercy and black widow..

If the lanes stay as tough as they where all week, look for a low scoring, spare shooting show on Sunday..

From what I know of John he's always been in the hunt to make it if the shot is super tough. Last time I bowled against him he has a good bit of tilt which with him seems to cause him to carry like crap on the shots that are higher scoring. He's from about 20 minutes from me. We used to go to the same guy to get our equipment drilled so I got to see him quite often. Good guy though quite shy till you get to know him. I'll definitely be pulling for him as the underdog and local.

I dont get the support for this guy. Im sure hes good, good spare shooter, probably scores well most of the time, but seriously, his form is NASTY. He has no bend, no revs, horrible tilt, & hes just REALLY boring to watch.

Maybe im just too picky about the bowlers i see on TV. I just cant think of 1 spinner ive ever liked.

His approach reminded me of a robot, but he threw some great shots and just couldn't catch the breaks. That's bowling though. Sometimes the good shots just don't do the work of the bad ones.

Maybe it's because regular bowlers, like most of us on this forum, can relate to this guy. Not everyone can bowl as well as Duke or WRW or have the form of Richard Wolfe or PDW. But I as for myself, I do agree with Kinalyx. I would rather see someone else on the show.

John by no means has the greatest form, release, rotation, etc. The main thing he has is a good attitude about what he's doing. He was still bowling leagues up till this point so he was very accessible as compared to some of the tour guys you could only have a chance to see or meet once a year or so. Just pulling for the local kid is about it. Heck part of the reason I pull for Tommy Jones is he's from about 40 minutes from my home.

i agree, his attitude was really good, its nice to see a guy get his AS$ handed to him & still be completely cool about it. I for 1 am not the type of person that could be that calm about losing, especially not for my first tour win.

As for Shafer, i HATE him, hes from my home town in NY & i honest to god would like nothing more than to punch him in his face. I dont know whats wrong with his skin, but he looks like a burn victim, hes a pompous c0ck, & he has 1 of the worst physical games ive seen in a LONG time.

So yes, i would rather watch John May bowl 2304982304982340928 times than to EVER see Schafer again.

John May is the reason the PBA needs to scrap the exempt tour. how many of you guys just said you would rather see unknowns bowl vs WRW, or PDW every week?

Call me crazy but I really liked how John May throws the ball. This was my first time seeing him bowl and it really impressed me. It may just be that I can see some similarities in my physical game that he has. Kinda gives me hope that I'll be a great player someday, even with an "unconventional" game.
