All Things Being Equal
« on: December 11, 2005, 07:05:56 AM »
Today should have silenced some of the lefty-haters. There were two bowlers of each hand and both were paired against each other. In the final we had one right-handed and one lefty so no one side had the advantage today. No excuses of burning up the right side. All things being equal the better man won today and yes it was a lefty!

No, the bashers are just going to claim that the PBA walled up the left side.

a_ak57 you must be correct. Seems the lack of responses only validates my statement.

I'm not trying to downplay lefties or PA (even though I think he is a jackass lol), but the left side seemed to give a much better shot than the right side on the show. Even Scroggins seemed to have a good shot, he just received some bad breaks (solid seven, solid 8), and missing two 7 pins doesn't help your score much.

I think lefties are used to squaring up and playing down the boards more than righties...
I've been told this by a number of PBA lefties over the years. Right or Wrong? Dont' know.
I think Tom Baker is a great bowler, but his delivery and release on that condition put him at a deifinite disadvantage.

The bowler with the best look and best matchup won period. Just ask C_J as he came on and said PA had the best look all week and was his pick to win.

Left handers read carefully...
Right handed players knock lefties because maybe 1 in every 10 can keep their nose from bleeding as their foot moves right of the big dot in the center of the approach. There are a lot of good left handed players but when Scroggins and Rick Lawrence are making a run for a show, where do we all think the shot is playing? PA was using a ball with a pin 100 feet long to play as straight as dump 'n run Scroggins.

Half the righties I know get a nosebleed if they have to move left of the track.
Righties rip lefties, because we're a minority.
