Well, I was able to watch the show and I don't really understand what all the fuss was about, because the guy bowled pretty well. Yeah, I understand he wasn't splitting boards but when you have pretty much everyone pretty much giving up after the first few frames, what do you want the guy to do? In the end it was the same thing as when O'Neill won with the Taboo...he just had the better ball and line.
Match 1: the guy missed 3 times, only 1 of which resulted in a strike.
Match 2: the guy missed his target 3 times, only 1 of them resulted in a strike. Nevermind that O'Neill had no idea what he was doing missing in and out all through the first few frames. So, he started with the wrong ball, then balled down and kept getting lucky with high flush strikes. Then O'Neill finally makes a finger adjustment, but was still going high pocket.
Match 3: the guy missed 2 times, 1 of which resulted in a strike. I have no idea what Belmonte was doing until he changed balls. It didn't help that like O'Neill he couldn't consistently hit his target.
Match 4: both guys seemed flawless until the end of the match when everything went crazy.
Overall, the guy bowled fairly well, the majority of his misses were only 1 to 2 boards off target. I guess my question is why weren't the righties playing that far right? And if they couldn't why was there considerably more oil on the right than left?
