Although farfetched, that would be awesome—those are some of my favorite bowlers of all time.

that would be sweet, to see Roth, Webb, Cook and Aulby for the TV show, talk about a flash from the past!!! I honestly wouldnt know who to root for on that show cuz it would be cool to see any of them win a tv show.

For those of you whining about the scoring pace... You are aware of the qualifications for this tournament, right?

1 All Exempt Player Champions
2 RPC Champion
3 RPI Champion
4 Senior Masters Champion
5 Senior U. S. Open Champion
6 Tournament of Champions Winners
7 Hall of Fame Members in order of most titles
8 Most recent non-exempt champions
I think the PBA players that qualified for the TOC know a thing or two about lane play as the block wears on and they didn't have to deal with other, less experienced, bowlers trying to figure out what part of the lane to play.

No way, so that's what "Tournament of Champions" means?

The scoring pace is always very high at the T of C. Being from New England, I used to make a trip to Bradley Bowl and Mohegan Sun for the tournament every year with some buddies, and the scores were stupid every year.
I forget who I overheard explaining it (maybe it was Barnes), but despite the length of the pattern, the volume is relatively low. Therefore, it's just a matter of matching up with equipment, staying soft with the speed, and not pitching it to the right. Guys just keep chasing the pattern in and the scores explode as the blocks wear on.

The TOC pattern used to be a 50 ft pattern. Once they went to the current format where they had past champions that aren't currently on tour, they used a modified version of the previous year's Masters pattern to make sure the "old" guys didn't embarass themselves.
It is significantly easier now than it used to be.
