Did he just say what I think he said?

Listen closely when McCune leaves a 4 pin against Walter Ray in the final match, after the ball leaves his hand, it sounds like he busts out an "Oh ____"

Even replayed on ESPN Classic without an edit.  I'm watching it on classic right now, so I can't go back and replay it, but I thought it was kind of funny that they missed an edit like that when they got the McCune one from earlier against Mika.

Sit court side at an NBA game.  There is some dirty stuff said.  Basically, whenever it gets physical under the hoop there's profanity everywhere.  Not a place for little kids I suppose.

I remember going to a game years ago with Gary Payton and Ron Artest and sitting a couple rows up.  Gary Payton was talking smack all game.  Ron Artest really just stopped talking by the third period, but Payton wouldn't relent.  F*** You, B****!  Everyone knows you're a P****!

My point is pro sports will always have plenty of swearing.  Especially when a guy who doesn't get on TV much finally makes it.

Ever been to a regional with this guy?

Sailors would be offended.

Regionals period are pretty filthy.  Bowled quite a few this summer as a guest and was shocked to hear as much profanity as I did.  Not that I am easily offended or anything, but as a guest I was trying to mind my manners and was shocked that some of the National tour guys were so vocal.

I'm shocked also that there would be much of any profanity during a regional. One I attended just watching it was very laid back. Besides, what is there to get upset at a regional tournament that has such a bad prizefund and payout ratio to care.

although i've only competed in 8 regionals and attended half a dozen more as a spectator i have the following comments to make:

1) the level of competition is extremely high. you had better be ready to bowl.

2) the lane conditions are nothing like the house shot you are used to. bowling on tough conditions like these will make you a better player.

3) there are many....i repeat many bowlers who have terrible tempers on and off the lanes. i've seen players throw bags, balls, shoes, etc. across the parking lot, into beds of pickups, etc.

4) there are many players who look and act like they would rather be somewhere else-----they're there because they've got no where else to go.

5) there are many players whose language would make a crusty sailor flinch----every possible word and description you can imagine.

there are also some good things i've seen. i've met the owners of the houses that these tournaments are held at. they are warm, kind people. i've met some guys who are great bowlers but better human beings.
