High scores this week, eh?

Barnes shoots 820 for the first three, WRW Jr. shoots 807, Liz Johnson comes out of the TQR and promptly has a 788, an oft-injured Norm has 782...

What's up with the scoring this week? They couldn't get the Scorpion to play a little tougher?

2005-06
Amateurs: 190.2
Non-exempt pros: 201.6
Exempt pros: 215.6

"The scoring pace is normally medium to low for this pattern."

i feel sorry for parker bohn III-----he was the only player in the field to not average 200 for 14 games of qualifying.

I am just curious...  What did you need to average to make it as a non-exempt player this week?  How many spots were open?

9 Spots = Top 8 PBA Members and 1 Top Amateur. 3 amateurs finished ahead of Page (who finished 11th). Therefore, Page still qualifies, as he is a PBA member.

Who came up with that system??? if someone pays their entry and finishes ahead of a pro then they should get the spot.  I don't join the PBA because I only bowl in 1-2 regionals a year the others require to mutch travel.  same would go for the TQR you cash 2x you would have to join in order to keep going.

EDIT= The PBA says you can cash 2x yearly then to keep bowling you have to join.

What's the incentive to join if you can advance as an amateur.  Besides, there are plenty of weeks that the top amateur is not at the top of the standings but advances anyway.

yet another problem with the new pba. a 64 man exempt field does not work like it's supposed to. let's have the "new" pba go back to the "old" tournament format.
