How about averages for Plastic Ball Tournament?
« on: February 17, 2009, 12:41:58 AM »
What do you think the averages are going to be?

I will say maybe 2 bowlers will be over 220.

And I think there is going to be a few (4 -5) in 190s.

Talkin' Trash!

I think half the field will average 208 or better still, one or two will still be in 230's.

I say it favors Robert Smith with his rev rate and power, he gets no credit for his accuracy but I have watched him close up 4 times now and trust me he is pretty accurate.

Here is my show prediction.

Robert Smith
Parker Bohn lots of plastic experience
Norm Duke
Chris Barnes

Maybe to take a break...Page, Malott, and Duke are all exempt for next year and could afford to miss an event.

It's going to be on a modified Cheetah pattern...which means extra friction.

This is for Thursday's qualifying - not including TQR:
Average for field: 208
Leading Qualifier Average: 228
Lowest Qualifier Average: 183

I think the scores can possibly get pretty ugly as the sets go on...we will see.

i am curious if they are allowed to alter surface of the plastic that they will be throwing, or if they all have to use the same surface?

I think the averages will be higher than people expect them to be. Dont forget that those guys can ROLL the ball better than anyone. And when it comes to plastic, the more you can roll the ball the better.
