This may be a very basic question, but I would appreciate you guys thoughts on this matter.
It is my observation that balls designated as having a "skid-flip" reaction do not skid as much, if at all, if thrown with forward roll, and that most balls will skid and flip if thrown with more side roll, and there are dry boards down down the lane.
In other words, it seems to me that skid flip is more determined by hand position at release, then whether the ball is designated a "skid-flip" ball.
Am I missing something?
