I've heard that he is going to ask for a medical deferrment.

If so then why don't they go ahead and give it to him and give the exemption to the next guy on the list.

So many points are being lost as the tournaments go by it will be tough to garner enough points to keep the exemption.

Sweet.  Next year, he'll be one of the $23K steals in the fantasy bowling.

On the other hand, it sucks for the folks that drafted him this year for nothing.

First of all..Jason has sent all of his paperwork into the office for his injury deferment. Its just a matter of finalizing the details. He has been instructed to take 4-5 weeks off and let his knee heal up. Luckily his knee wont require further treatment as of right now.

Second....as of 4:00 pm yesterday, i am out for the season. I am scheduled to have surgery on my finger November 29th, and my recovery time is 4-6 weeks minimum. The doctor is hopefull for a full recovery, but wont know for sure until the cyst is removed and he knows the tendon is fully intact. My goal is to be back for the World Championships and the US Open at the end of the year.

Last....the rules have changed ( AGAIN !!! ). If a player defers before the season starts, that spot will go to the next person on the previous seasons point list. After the season starts, any person that defers spot will go to the weekly TQR. So to answer your question, Jason and I's spots havent kept anybody from bowling.

I hope you have a speedy recovery, Jeff.  I am going for surgery on my wrist too, but for carpal tunnel release.  My prognosis is good also, but you never know until after they cut.  I will thinking of you and hoping you recover 100% when I go under the knife!!

More injury updates :

Brad Angelo hurt his back last week in Buffalo while at the Gym. He will probably be out another week, maybe more. His wife is a massage therapist so that will help in his recovery

Bill O'Neill hurt is back as well. I just talked to him a few minutes ago and hes looking for someplace to get treatment. He said he's not going to rush it and come back before he's ready. He could be out for a few weeks
