Jason Mahr

Congrats to the Mahr-velous one, Jason Mahr, who led the PTQ this week and is in good position to move on to the round of 32.  He's currently in 21st place with 2 games to go.  He just punched in a 290 in game 12 of qualifying.

If you've never seen this guy bowl, it's quite a sight to behold.  Think Kenny Simard at about 19 mph.  This guy hits spares and breaks pins.  When he hits the pocket, people in other bowling centers stop what they're doing and look around.

He's intense.  He's hard.  And he's good.

Someone to watch this weekend.

Mahr throws it harder then 19, it's more like 22-23.

I was gonna say, I've bowled with Jason alot in some southeast tourneys and I throw it 18-19 mph, he's way faster than me.  Lots of hand and always wacks the cheetah pattern.  No suprise at all to me he's doing well.
