Danny's win
« on: October 31, 2004, 06:46:21 AM »
Congratulations to Danny Wiseman on a great win today. The
way Patrick Allen seemed to be lined up the first two games
it looked like he had a real good chance. Too bad he just lost
his shot for the first five frames of the final game. After
Danny got the first six it was pretty much all over. Again
congratulations Danny! Keep it going.

Yeah it was nice to see him finally win one. He stick to it attitude finally paid off. He is a great guy I got to bowl with him at a pro am a few years back and he is a really nice guy. I wish him the best this year.

I'm not so sure that P.A. "lost his shot". The shot was there - the execution wasn't. Being "loose" opens up the lane. Bowling the "runaway tournament leader" and having him come out of the gate STRONG will tend to tighten up the "loose" in anyone's swing. It isn't as noticable on a THS, but on a tough shot, an unintentional change of speed or a grab will show up big time downlane.

I had a feeling that once PA took out his Big Blue Pearl that a shot in the area he was playing would burn up a little. I think that Big Blue he was using is a particle, and you know how particles go- they burn up a pattern pretty quickly compared to reactives. Right out of the gate, he made a good shot and creeped up high, that move left he made in the 2nd half of the game should have been done on the 2nd frame to get a little bit of pressure on Mr. Wiseman.

I must say though, Wiseman looks really good out there- even better than before - especially in terms of his physical game. He looked really steady and solid throughout all of the match.
