Anyone here bowling the Ladies and Legends?
« on: May 07, 2007, 09:04:58 AM »
I'm in Rockford where the current tourney is.  I stopped in today for B squad qualifying.  I'll go back tonight to see Ozio and Roth bowl.  I was just wondering if any of you are either bowling or going to watch.

I just got back from watching C squad.  This was the first time I've ever seen any pro in person besides Pete Weber.  Bowlers I recognized were Roth, Ozio, Petraglia, Kulick, Liz Johnson, Hugh Miller, Steve Cook, Robin Romeo, and a few others.

I also saw Jeff Carter and Billy Oatman.  I wanted to say something to them, but couldn't think of anything without sounding like a homer.  Besides I didn't want to bother them.  Jeff was talking to quite a few people...Billy looked like he was having a great time.  I'll probably go again tomorrow.

A friend of mine from here - Kathy Tribbey - is bowling. She just finished 7th at the Queens last week.
And of course, Kelly - GO KELLY!!!
And another person I know - Ernie. What can I say?

I don't know that I'd ever hear the end of it if Ernie and Kathy ended up paired up for the finals!

I forgot to mention Ernie and Guppy.  A friend of mine bowled the pro-am with Ernie...no surprise that he had a 300.  I watched him a bit today and he had 26? his last game...was slapping out shots left and right.  Steve Cook was throwing something super dull the 2nd game.  After moving pairs he started throwing a Skull Ball.  I must say the main reason I went was to see Ozio in person.  He throws it better than I could ever imagine.  He was standing next to me watching B squad but I didn't have the courage to say anything to him.

Ryan-
I got to watch Olivia bowl a bit.  She was killing em.  I wish I could roll the ball as nice as that.

I had the pleasure of installing 2 switch grips in for olvia yesterday than watched a little of her qualifing.  I met Kathy yesterday she needed a sheet written up for the Truck.  Everyone that I have talked to has been great hopefully the rest of the week stays this way.

I am sure if you go up to most pros and just hi or I just wanted to say hello, you will get a nice or decent response. If they dont bother to respond, then at least you tried.

I even had a lady ask me for my autograph one time and I told her I wasn't a senior pro, she said I looked like one and still asked me to sign her book. My only autograph request in my life

This tourney is finally over in all the experience I had was awesome.  I met a ton of new people talked with Chris Schlemer (Storm Rep) had lunch yesterday with a group of seniors including Tom Baker.  Our local girls did fairley well some even breaking into the top 10.  To bad it had to end but hopefully this will happen again next year.

I have to Thank Chris for giving me a class on laying out the Shift Sue killed the pins with it this week.

Still waiting for my 15% cut working out the minor details.  Erica rolled hers pretty nice also she just can't get new equipment and trust it right out of the box.  When you coming home Mike?  We could always need a hand in the shop you should of seen us the day of the pro am ...it was like xmas all over again.

Hire me Rob.  I could use a part time job instead of sitting around all day.
